Rice Hydration Conditioning Bar
The Sacred Skin Botanicals Rice Hydration Conditioning Bar was developed as the companion to the Castor Rice Shampoo Bar — a complete wash and condition ritual for hair that needs strengthening, moisture, and relief from breakage. It is a light, effective conditioner that works beautifully alongside any of the shampoo bars in the range, particularly the Scalp Therapy Ginger Bar and the Patchouli Repair and Restore Bar.
BTMS-50 — Behentrimonium Methosulfate — is the conditioning base of this bar. It is one of the most effective conditioning agents available to formulators: positively charged, it bonds to the negatively charged hair shaft and remains on the hair after rinsing, detangling, smoothing, and providing lasting softness without weight or buildup. Cetyl Alcohol works alongside it as an emollient and thickener, adding slip and smoothness to the hair surface.
Rice Protein — hydrolysed to a molecular weight small enough to penetrate the hair cuticle — binds to the internal structure of the hair shaft, filling in gaps and reinforcing damaged areas from within. Studies on hydrolysed rice protein confirm its ability to increase tensile strength, improve elasticity, and reduce breakage measurably with consistent use. Sodium PCA is the natural moisturising factor found in healthy skin and hair — a humectant that draws water to the hair shaft and holds it there, giving hair that feels soft and alive rather than dry and dull. Mango Butter and Kokum Butter deliver fatty acids that coat and seal the cuticle surface, locking in the moisture and protein the conditioner delivers.
Aloe Vera Juice soothes the scalp during conditioning and adds lightweight hydration that does not weigh fine hair down. Honey Powder is a natural humectant with antimicrobial properties that supports scalp health while the conditioner works on the hair shaft. Lecithin improves the spreadability of the formula and supports the lipid layer of the hair cuticle. Olive Oil PEG-7, a water-soluble form of olive oil, adds softness and shine without the heaviness of raw oil. Incroquat CR — a professional conditioning complex containing Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, and PEG-40 Castor Oil — completes the formula, delivering additional slip, detangling, and the smooth finish that makes a conditioning bar feel indistinguishable from a premium liquid conditioner.
The fragrance is Lemongrass and Jasmine Essential Oils — the same signature scent as the Castor Rice Shampoo Bar, so the two work as a coherent system from wash to condition.
Used after any of the Sacred Skin Botanicals shampoo bars, the Rice Hydration Conditioning Bar hair detangled, moisturised, and noticeably stronger with consistent use. Rub the bar between wet hands and directly along the hair shaft, leave for one to two minutes, and rinse. The conditioning Bar will need to be worked a lot more than the Shampoo Bars to get good coverage, but don't be deceived, it is a potent mix and will be working even though you can't see a lot of product.
